As Shorley Wood B&B is right in the centre of the country, it is a fabulous location for touring around England, stopping off on your way to the coast or venturing overseas on a ferry or cruise liner.

Cruise Liners - Southampton is an international port for cruise-liners. Ships from around the world stop here for a few days to allow people to see the sights of England and Marne Cottage is a great base only 40 minutes away to make an over-night shore excursion.

P&O Cruises from Southampton range from the Mediterranean and Carribean to the Baltics, Fjords and Iceland. 

Cunard offer a wide range of roundtrips from Southampton taking in the worlds best ports and cities. 

Cross Channel Ferries - running from Poole and Portsmouth within easy reach, these main ports offer ferries to the Channel Islands, Jersey, Guernsey and also across to France and Spain.

The Isle of Wight - If you are venturing over to the island, ferries run from Portsmouth and Lymington in the New Forest. 

The A272 - runs from Poundford in East Sussex to Winchester and the South Downs, and is hailed as one of the most beautiful roads in Britain.
